Firenze: via di Badia a Ripoli

Tools: a1g1-g2

Strategies: intersections

Via di Badia a Ripoli is located at the southeastern edge of Firenze’s urban area. This short (100m, 320 ft) narrow street is reserved for buses and vehicles accessing the few properties along it. It allows inbound buses from Via Chiantigiana to reach Viale Europa, a main bus corridor leading into the city, bypassing the main intersection and avoiding delays caused by queues in the left-turn lane of Via Danimarca. While it’s typologically a Transit Street (A1), functionally it serves as a queue-jumper (G1-G2) in the form of a transit-only jughandle.
